NOARK Electric has prepared the fourth edition of the NOARK FULFILLS DREAMS FOR SCHOOLS competition. Its main goal is to enable students of electrical engineering to develop creativity in planning and implementing their own projects. Until 26 January, a total of 30 Czech secondary electrical engineering schools are competing in the regional round for the public's favour. The winning Czech team will go on to compete this spring in the European grand final for a prize of 10 000 €! But the competition will be intense - 123 electrical engineering schools from 9 European countries entered the contest!

The NOARK Electric brand, a major manufacturer of electronic devices and components, is continuously supporting the new generation of electrical engineering students in their educational process. In the NOARK FULFILLS DREAMS FOR SCHOOLS competition, the signed-up teams have the task of designing, building and presenting a project in which products – provided by the NOARK company - are utilized. This year, 123 educational institutions in nine European countries are participating in the competition with 30 schools being from Czechia.

The team members and their mentors from the teaching staff must utilize at least half of the provided products in a fully functioning application. All project videos can now be viewed on the competition website www.noark-schools.com, where public voting is open until 26 January 2025. Five videos with the most votes will then go on to compete in the regional final, in which an expert jury will select top three projects. The best Czech team will automatically advance to the spring European final, where it will compete with winners from eight other countries for a prize of 10 000 €.

The European Winner to Be Crowned in Prague „This year, the competition is taking place in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and also in Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Romania and Serbia. We are extremely looking forward to this year's edition as the competition will be the strongest in the project’s history. Exactly 123 schools from nine countries have entered the competition this year and national winners will compete for European title,“ says Karel Havlíček of NOARK Electric, and continues: „The award ceremony will take place this spring in the Czech capital of Prague and will be attended by representatives of winning teams from all nine countries. We perceive NOARK FULFILLS DREAMS FOR SCHOOLS as a device that can significantly contribute to raising the quality level of electrical engineering in Czechia and Europe and also provides students with necessary international competition.“

The importance of the contest is also underlined by the fact that the European final will take place under the patronage of the Modern Energy Union (MEU). „Within MEU, we see Europe’s growing efforts to strengthen its competences and develop projects in the field of renewable energy, electromobility or microchip production. However, these efforts will be lost in the long run if we do not cultivate and improve technical education in Czechia and Europe overall. That's why we are pleased to take over the patronage of the European final of NOARK FULFILLS DREAMS FOR SCHOOLS. It is a competition that strengthens the knowledge, experience and international experience of electrical engineering students. And it is evident, that Czechia and other European countries need very qualified professionals in this field," says Tomáš Buzrla, Executive Director of the Modern Energy Union.

The winner of the Czech regional round will be announced on 31 January 2025. In addition to the chance of winning the European prize in spring, the best local team will receive 50,000 CZK for their school and vouchers worth up to 6,000 CZK for students who worked on the project. Last year, the first place went to the students of SŠ PHZ and VOŠ Uherské Hradiště with their project of an automated greenhouse.
